A Guide to Preparing an Insured Event

*Insured events: are objective risk events that occur to the Insured, such as hospital stay, cancer, fatal disease, accident, injury, death and are considered by Shinhan Life Vietnam pay insurance benefits according to the conditions specified in the Rules and Terms of the Insurance Policy."

Hospitalization

"When you are sick or injured and need medical treatment at the Hospital.

* Hospital checkout;

"When treating one of the Critical Illnesses on the list of protected diseases at Shinhan Life Vietnam.

* Additional documents may be required as follows: discharge paper, medical summary, surgery certificate, test results, imaging results, detailed hospital fee statement, medical examination number, treatment sheet with diagnosis and treatment indications.

Some medical documents required when claiming benefits related to Critical Illness

Accident / Injury

When treating total and permanent disability. Total and permanent disability is the complete and irreversible loss, paralysis of body parts, or injury or incapacity to work of 81% or more, as detailed in the rules and regulations. insurance contract.

Dead

When the Insured Person dies.

* Death Certificate or Death Notice,

* Additional documents may be required as follows: hospital discharge paper, medical summary, pathological results, test results, medical examination number (if death is due to illness); accident record, written investigation conclusion of the competent authority (if death is due to accident),

* Documents related to the loan: a legal copy of the credit contract, confirmation of the credit institution about the loan (if participating in credit insurance at Shinhan Life Vietnam).

* To pay death benefits, we may require additional documents on inheritance and authorization to receive Insurance benefits or change the Policyholder according to form CLM.F04

Regulations on Recipients of Insurance Benefits

We will pay insurance benefits in the order of priority corresponding to each of the following cases:

In the event of death of the Insured:

a) Beneficiary.

b) If the Insurance Policy does not specify a Beneficiary:

   Insurance Buyer is an individual:

     - Buyer of Insurance.

     - The legal heir of the Policyholder.

   The Policyholder is an organization: The Insured's heir.

Other cases:

a) The Insurance Buyer is an individual:

     - Buyer of Insurance.

     - Beneficiary,

     - The legal heir of the Policyholder.

b) Insurance Buyer is an organization:

     - Insured Person.

     - Beneficiary.

     - The legal heir of the Insured.

     - Buyer of Insurance.

Form of Notice of Claim settlement of insurance benefits

How to send notice:

1. Telephone message (SMS): You will receive a Notice of settlement of insurance benefits via SMS with a link to the customer information system , and

2. E-mail (Email): You will receive a Notice of settlement of insurance benefits via email (email) along with a link to the customer information system .

Time to send notice:

1. When we receive a successful claim settlement.

2. When we request additional documents or notify us to collect additional information related to the insured event, within 3 working days from the date we receive the request for settlement of insurance benefits.

3. When there is a decision to accept or refuse to pay insurance benefits, within 03-05 working days and no later than 30 days from the date Shinhan Life Vietnam receives all documents and completes the verification of the insurance benefits. insurance is valid.

Please note that:

- Aiming at the goal of saving natural resources and increasing efficiency in quickly notifying you of information related to claim settlement as well as avoiding loss of paper letters during transportation, Shinhan Life Vietnam does not use the form of sending Notices by post.

- The form of sending the above notice will be sent via SMS and Email of the Policyholder or the Claimant who has registered/provided Shinhan Life Vietnam.

Time limit for settlement of Insurance benefits

Shinhan Life Vietnam will process the Benefit within 30 days from the date we receive all documents and complete the verification of the insured event as valid.
