SHINHAN LIFE VIETNAM WINS THE TITLE OF CORPORATE FOR THE COMMUNITY - SAIGON TIMES CSR 2024

Ho Chi Minh City, November 14th, 2024 – With practical CSR projects from the first days of operation in the Vietnamese market in 2021, Shinhan Life Insurance Vietnam Limited Liability (Shinhan Life Vietnam) is honored to be awarded the title of Corporate for the Community - Saigon Times CSR at the Saigon Times CSR Merit Ceremony.
The Saigon Times CSR program is held annually to honor businesses that have made positive contributions to economic, social and environmental development. This is a platform where the spirit of corporate social responsibility is spread through practical contributions to the community and society. With the theme of 2024 "Invest in a Sustainable Future", this award is a recognition and emphasis on Shinhan Life Vietnam's continuous efforts in nurturing future generations, with the belief that investing in children and youth is contributing to the sustainable development of future generations of Vietnam.
A typical project focusing on the young generation in 2024 of Shinhan Life Vietnam is the S-Career - career orientation program - in collaboration with the career education company SIF Career. The program provides information, tools, and methods to help students "Choose the right major – Do the right job". After two months of implementation, S-Career has reached nearly 1,400 students and more than 150 teachers, attracting attention and enthusiastic exchanges between students, teachers and experts. This project helps students have enough information to choose the right career, optimize future work efficiency, contribute to improving overall labor productivity and bring sustainable development to Vietnam.
In addition to S-Career, Shinhan Life Vietnam has been implementing activities focusing on other young generations such as: iLead Leadership Values Program (a cooperation program between Shinhan Life Vietnam with BNJ Vietnam); The activity commits to give away more than 50,000 insurance policies "Shinhan – An Binh" – Blood Cancer insurance product for children aged from 30 days to 12 years old (implemented annually from 2022 to now); Activities to support treatment fee for blood cancer patients at the HCMC Children's Hospital (total aid amount up to 600 million VND in the past 3 years).
Mr. Bae Seung Jun, General Director of Shinhan Life Vietnam, emphasized that social responsibility plays a key role not only for Shinhan Life Vietnam but also for the entire Shinhan Financial Group. Therefore, in parallel with business development, the company will continue to focus and prioritize activities that demonstrate social responsibility. As a life insurance company, Shinhan Life Vietnam pays special attention to preparing for future fluctuations, especially towards children and adolescents – the future vital generation of the country.
